"The Security Department is the legal backbone of BEXCO Corporation. Tasked with maintaining order, enforcing policy, and ensuring the safety of all personnel and assets, it operates as both a peacekeeping body and first-response force within the facility.
We're here to hold everything together. Every decision we make has consequences. That's why we train regularly, document everything, and never act without cause. If you want to wear the uniform, understand this: authority in the corporation isn't given, it's earned."
Unlike other 'security' departments on ROBLOX, the Security Department in BEXCO is methodical and functions through intricate legal and penal procedures. Officers are not simple guards but are trained responders and investigators fit into roleplay, bound by the Code of Ethics.
Enforcing the Code
Security Officers follow structured procedures, adhere to military etiquette, and submit legal reports and documents - from arrests and investigations to incident documentation. Every action is justified with in-character evidence, which affect legal procedures. This involves trials, arrests, penal records, appeals, attorneys, and much more. The legal system is very complete.
Legal procedures are overseen by the Ethics Committee, which oversees the Code of Ethics, hosts trials, issues arrest warrants, and ensures fair sentencing for major infractions. Meanwhile, the Central Command, the elected legislative body of the corporation, can edit the Code of Ethics. For example, by adding or modifying articles and their disciplinary sentences. All of this requires strict legal regulations and coordination, which is held through Liaison Offices (through the Administrative Department hub).
Officers begin as Cadets, who patrol under supervision and must submit attendance reports to earn promotion. Once promoted, Security Officers gain full legal autonomy and authority. Climbing the ranks into NCOs (Corporals, Sergeants) and COs (Lieutenants) allows officers to lead and direct on-site operations and administrative matters.
Specializations
Security personnel can specialize through Qualifications (Non-Lethal, Handgun) and Subdepartments like Emergency Response (armed response, disaster control), or the Internal Commission (counter-intelligence and internal investigations).
The Security Department is considered one of the most difficult department. It requires an understanding of complex procedures.
It is ideal for players who enjoy complicated roleplay scenarios and procedures, reading and investigative work, and structured, hierarchy-driven environments, all included with the right amount of paperwork.
It is recommended for seasoned BEXCO players, as it involves responsibility over others' experiences and requires a good grasp of roleplay and in-universe rules. However, new players who enjoy responsibility and serious roleplay will find it deeply rewarding.
