The Administrative Department is the central authority of BEXCO Corporation.
It manages both the in-character governance of the facility and out-of-character administrative matters that keeps the corporation running smoothly, from overseeing recruitment, regulations, elections and employee rights to approving facility-wide changes and updates.
In character, Administrative personnel are often high-ranking individuals with specific, influential duties. They may represent the corporation in legal, political, or public matters and are responsible for managing operations that span across all departments. Out-of-character, the department handles the broader coordination of BEXCO's departments and structural systems.
The department includes several branches (subdepartments):
Central Command (CeCo): The elected legislative body of the corporation, made up of six officials from regular personnel. Overseen by an elected CeCo member, the Technical Installation Director (TID) - CeCo members are empowered to vote on bills to edit the Code of Ethics (like adding Infractions or changing disciplinary sentences), facility protocols, and budget allocations (game updates). Their decisions directly affect department development and lore. Each CeCo term lasts 4 weeks.
Human Resources (HR): Responsible for recruitment, auditing staff activity, identifying internal issues such as favoritism or negligence, and advocating for employee rights across all departments. HR ensure fairness and operational integrity.
Ethics Committee: Oversees legal enforcement, trials, arrest warrants, attorneys, and sentencing. The Ethics Committee holds legal authority above all departments when it comes to Code of Ethics enforcement.
Press Office (or 'BARI Times'): The facility's internal news outlet, managing news broadcasts, radio programming, and facility newspapers. Press members are on-site reporters who document events, conduct interviews, ...
The Administrative Department is considered one of the most difficult department (except for certain subdepartments like the Press Office).
It is aimed toward experienced players who already understand the ins and outs of the game and universe, at all levels.
Most subdepartments (HR, Ethics Committee, Press Office) are handpicked selections, chosen directly by the Administrative leadership. Certain openings may open from time to time.
However, you can freely join the Central Command. Anyone holding Classification - 1 or higher (aka simply being in a department) can run for election at the end of a term, no experience is needed. If the people want you (and you survive the campaign drama), you can hold real legislative power. Just be ready to learn alot, and for the paperwork. Lots of paperwork.
